Yi Ouyang
I am Yi Ouyang, an Associate Professor at the Laboratory for Chemical Technology (LCT) at Ghent University. My research focuses on process intensification, combining computational fluid dynamics (CFD), visualization and experimental methods, and both theory- and data-driven approaches to advance our understanding of transport-reaction mechanisms and to drive reactor innovation.
With over a decade of experience developing novel reactor technologies for multiphase (gas-liquid/solid) systems, my work has received recognition, including the ERC Starting Grant, the Francqui Start-Up Grant, and a former FWO postdoctoral fellowship. Additionally, I serve as an editor and board member for journals in our field, such as Chemical Engineering Research and Design, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification, roles reflecting the trust placed in my professional expertise.
