Driving
Chemical Technology

The Laboratory for Chemical Technology (LCT) integrates chemical science and engineering in its research on catalysis, polymerization, kinetics, reactor design and process design. LCT is part of the Department of Materials, Textiles and Chemical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Ghent University in Belgium and member of the Centre for Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) of Ghent University. LCT aims at research excellence and bottom-up innovation in the framework of technological, industrial, and societal challenges.

Catalytic transformation of CO2 into value-added products: Kinetic modeling and reactor simulation

Soroush graduated as a M.Sc in chemical Engineering at Amirkabir university of technology (AUT), Tehran . The main topic of his master thesis was " simulation of slurry reactor during direct production of DME from syngas". Then he obtained his PhD from AUT in 2022 focusing on "kinetic modeling and reactor simulation of carbonation reaction of SrO at high temperatures". He, as a postdoctoral researcher, joined LCT in 2022 where his research is mainly about kinetic modeling and reactor simulation of CO2 catalytic reduction to value-added products.
