Chemical Technology

The Laboratory for Chemical Technology (LCT) integrates chemical science and engineering in its research on catalysis, polymerization, kinetics, reactor design and process design. LCT is part of the Department of Materials, Textiles and Chemical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Ghent University in Belgium and member of the Centre for Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) of Ghent University. LCT aims at research excellence and bottom-up innovation in the framework of technological, industrial, and societal challenges.

Carl Van Camp


Prof. Van Camp is a guest professor with large industrial experience as evidenced by:

Master in Chemcial Engineering (UGhent 1977)
PhD in Chemical Engineering (UGhent 1981)
Former Sr VP of Total, CEO of the Global Polymer Business, Member of the Management Committee of Refining & Chemicals;
Chairman of essenscia and of the Association of Petrochemical Producers Europe
Vice-chairman of Plastics Europe and Member of the Executive committe of CEFIC
Chairman of Zeopore Technologies and Member of the Board of Proviron and of the Innovation Circle.
Visiting professor at the UGhent.
