Cover article on Reaction Chemistry and Engineering regarding derived catalysts for the aldol reaction in water

(29-11-2019)

Rather than a mere optimization, the work as published in React. Chem. Eng. (SCI-IF: 3.935) aims at acquiring a fundamental understanding upon which further exploration can be based. This particular contribution fits within the framework of using a ‘green’ alternative catalyst to commonly used homogeneous bases. A crucial step forward has been made in enabling continuous operation for aldol reactions.
