ACS Editors Demystify Article Submissions in Interactive Q&A Session

(13-01-2026)

On 13/01/2026, researchers had the opportunity to gain valuable insights during the seminar “Myths and Truths of Article Submissions”, featuring an interactive Q&A with ACS Editors.
The session brought together Michael Baldea (Editor-in-Chief, I&EC Research), Jodie Lutkenhaus (Deputy Editor, ACS Applied Polymer Materials), and Jessica Schiffman (Deputy Editor, ACS Applied Engineering Materials), moderated by Jhoan Toro-Mendoza (Managing Editor). Through open dialogue, the editors shared practical tips for strengthening manuscripts, clarified common misconceptions about peer review, and offered guidance on navigating the editorial decision-making process. Designed to foster transparency and empower young scientists, the discussion provided actionable advice to help authors improve their chances of success in ACS journals.
