Driving
Chemical Technology

The Laboratory for Chemical Technology (LCT) integrates chemical science and engineering in its research on catalysis, polymerization, kinetics, reactor design and process design. LCT is part of the Department of Materials, Textiles and Chemical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Ghent University in Belgium and member of the Centre for Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) of Ghent University. LCT aims at research excellence and bottom-up innovation in the framework of technological, industrial, and societal challenges.

eFFECT4 : “Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality for Industry and Society”

(23-09-2022)

eFFECT is explicitly aimed at engineers working in the chemical industry or in other industrial sectors, in research institutions or in research centres. In addition, all engineering students (bio)chemistry, master and doctoral students from all (bio)chemical engineering faculties in Flanders are also invited.
And in extension, the general public with an interest in technology is also very welcome!

eFFECT or “events in Flanders Focusing on Engineering and Chemical Technology” is a bi-annual lecture series with a focus on relevant and current themes for (bio)chemical industrial applications. Each cycle includes a number of sessions linked by an overarching technologically and socially relevant main theme.

Under the theme “Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality for Industry and Society”, this fourth eFFECT cycle once again highlights 4 interesting themes:

- Green Hydrogen Economy - LIVE EVENT

- Sustainable Carbon Chemistry - LIVE EVENT

- Circularity - LIVE EVENT

- CO2 Valorisation - LIVE EVENT

With an attractive program at interesting locations, we try to interest as many participants as possible and create a network that will further cherish and propagate this theme.
