Chemical Technology

The Laboratory for Chemical Technology (LCT) integrates chemical science and engineering in its research on catalysis, polymerization, kinetics, reactor design and process design. LCT is part of the Department of Materials, Textiles and Chemical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Ghent University in Belgium and member of the Centre for Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) of Ghent University. LCT aims at research excellence and bottom-up innovation in the framework of technological, industrial, and societal challenges.

10:05 – 10:10: Welcome by Prof. Kevin Van Geem (Ghent University)
10:10 – 10:55: Invited Oral 1 by Prof. Kim Ragaert (Maastricht University)
10:55 – 11:40: Invited Oral 2 by Dr. Stuart Cantrill (Chief Editor Nature Chemistry)
11:40 – 12:55: Lunch break
12:55 – 13:00: Connecting to Gather.town for poster session
13:00 – 15:00: Poster session
15:00 – 15:15: Break
15:15 – 15:20: Connecting to Teams session for final oral presentations and conclusions
15:20 – 16:05: Oral 3 on main theme Circular Process Design by Prof. Kevin Van Geem (Ghent University)
16:05 – 16:15: Conclusions by Prof. Mark Saeys (Ghent University)

Please register your attendance by 19 December 2021 via https://webappsx.ugent.be/eventManager/events/ChemicalTechnologySymposium. After registering you will receive an email containing the link to the MS Teams session for the invited oral presentations and the link to the virtual poster room in Gather.town. Additional information on how to join the Gather.town poster room will be provided in a separate email prior to the symposium.
