Andrés obtained his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the Universidad de América in Bogotá, Colombia. In 2013, he obtained his master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milan. He developed his master thesis with Prof. Flavio Manenti working in the techno-economical assessment of the methanol and dimethyl ether synthesis reactor network. He completed his PhD in Industrial Chemistry in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Dotelli. His work dealt physico-chemical degradation of polymeric materials under electrical discharges employing first principles. He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher catalyst design for CO2 utilization in the Laboratory for Chemical Technology of Ghent University.
